AX4N

The 4-speed automatic transmission AX4N was designed in 1994. It is the modification of its predecessor AX4S, which is in turn the modification of the AOD-E transmission.This transmission was not very popular and since 2004 it had been frequently replaced by German CVT CFT30 and the 6-speed transmission AF21 (TF-81SC) until 2007 when Mazda produced the 6- speed 6F50, and later (2009) - the enhanced 6F55.
