Allison Series 4000 transmissions are intended for heavy trucks and provide smooth and efficient operation. These solutions are notable for by enhanced efficiency and reliability: they can operate with engines with the maximum engine power of 522 kW (700 hp). The unit can be equipped with up to 7 gears, including overdrive, as well as the 2-nd R gear. Thanks to a narrow and wide options of gear ratios as well as PTO mechanism, the transmission makes drivers feel much more comfortable on the road. Moreover, the gearbox is also equipped with additional features such as an integrated retarder that enhances braking performance and decreases wear-out of the mechanism, as well as a sophisticated ECU mechanism that ensures outstanding control and diagnostic capabilities.
