The 5-speed automatic transmission 5R110W was released in 2003. This transmission was mainly intended for all-wheel drive pick-ups and powerful off-road vehicles produced by Ford. This transmission turned out to be quite popular. It had been produced for 10 years before being replaced by the fully automatic 6 speed transmission.
