In 1988, the hydraulic transmission A404 was equipped with the 1-st torque converter lock-up solenoid (model A670). The process of gear shifting in this transmission is implemented by the hydro-mechanical method by means of governors. The model A670 is considered to be the most powerful solution in the line of 3-speed transmissions from Chrysler.
