The 8-speed automatic transmission GM 8L45 (also known as M5N) has been produced since 2016 in the US. It is installed on numerous modern GM cars equipped with powerful engines. The 8L45 is intended for cars in which torque does not exceed 450 Nm. It is required to use ATF DEXRON HP for this transmission.
