Ford adjusted the automatic transmission 6HP26 to its rear- and four-wheel drive models Explorer and Navigator equipped with 4-5.4 liter engines.The new transmission model was named by Ford as 6R60, 6R80. Ford developed its own valve body and solenoids for this transmission.
