6HP21

The automatic transmission 6HP21 was produced in 2006-2007 by the company ZF. This thansmission is considered to be an upgraded version of the 6HP19 series. This generation of transmissions is equipped with an upgraded Mechatronic and supports a wider range of engines (from 1.6 up to 3.0L). Starting from 2006, automatic transmissions 6HP21 and 6HP21X are installed on different BMW models. The range of application of these transmission is quite wide - this automatic transmission is installed on BMW passenger cars (from 1-st p to 7-th series) as well as on popular SUVs X3 and X5.
