65RFE

The 6-speed automatic transmission 65RFE was designed in 2006. This transmission was adjusted for smoother gear shifting and reduced noise. In addition, the 65RFE was equipped with modified solenoids, valve body and new computer settings. This transmission was paired with V8 engines and commonly installed on Durango, Ram 1500, and Grand Cherokee. The 65RFE has 6 forward speeds in ERS(Electronic Range Select)/AutoStick mode or kickdown mode. In standard operation mode, however, the 65RFE uses the shift mechnism of the 545RFE.
