New faces and enterprises in the automotive industry can generate creative ideas and solutions that are important for both transmission specialists and ordinary drivers and users. New plants opened on different territories are worth tracking as well.
At the beginning of February Punch Powertrain officially launched a new plant in Ningbo, China. The facility was completed in early 2018 after eight months of construction activities. It is the 2-nd industrial undertaking of the Belgian company in China.
It has been known for a long
period of time that Valeo, the French producer and supplier of auto components
and spare parts, has established a 50:50 venture with the Korean company PHC
Group. But only recently the official
endorsement has been granted after solving all regulatory issues and the deal
has been offically confirmed by Valeo officials.
ZF plans to put up a new plant in Czestochowa and facilitate manufacturing of safety product lines including cutting-edge camera generations for active safety and passenger safety electronics such as airbag management units.
Aisin Group plans to boost manufacturing of automatic gearboxes, primarily in East Asia, by means of launching new enterprises and expanding operating plants in China and Japan.
