Valvoline to Acquire the Assets Of Minit Lube

Valvoline Inc. has reached an agreement on purchasing of specific business assets of Minit Lube located in Alberta, Canada. The deal is planned to be closed during the 4-th quarter of fiscal 2019. Financial details of this transaction are still kept secret.

Valvoline is a well-known marketer and supplier of premium branded lubricating products and auto services, with customers in more than 140 countries. Established in 1866, the company’s workmanship spans more than 150 years, during which it has created impressive brand recognition via a range of product and service channels.

Currently, Minit Lube has 6 professional lubrication service center in Alberta. Valvoline will purchase 4 service centers, which will be transformed into Valvoline company-owned stores. Valvoline will franchise the remaining two service centers to the existing owner. All Minit Lube facilities are planned to be rebranded as Valvoline Great Canadian Oil Change.

For more than four decades, Minit Lube centers have been providing quality repair and maintenance services for its customers across Canada and the decision to sell the business didn’t come easily to its owners.
