Recently, ATC Drivetrain (“ATC”), a leading
independent remanufacturer of car transmission parts located in Oklahoma, has
reached an agreement on the takeover of ATP with its founder Alan Smart.
Financial conditions of the deal are still kept private.
Recently, Allison Transmission, the
world-renowned producer of transmission solutions for different types of
vehicles, has reported about the takeover of Vantage Power and a subsidiary of
AxleTech.
Dana Inc.
has recently reported that the company has finalized the takeover deal of the
Drive Systems division of the Oerlikon Group, including the Graziano and Fairfield
brands. This deal makes it possible for Dana to strengthen the potential of its
electromobility program and significantly improves company’s production
capacity in several directions.
Recently, it has been reported that ZF Friedrichshafen, a world-renowned supplier of auto components, is looking into a possible acquisition of Wabco company. It is claimed that the 2 companies have already conducted initial negotiations.
Recently, it has transpired that MAHLE, one of
the leading providers of auto parts worldwide, is going to purchase the company
ZG-Zahnräder und Getriebe GmbH, located near Munich in Germany and specialized
in development and production of innovative transmission solutions.
ZF Friedrichshafen, an internationally-renowned manufacturer of transmissions and driveline components, has recently announced a 35% stake acquisition in ASAP, a Germany-based manufacturer of software and testing solutions in the fields of e-mobility, autonomous driving and electric cars.
Recently, it has been reported that ETE REMAN,
a key aftermarket automatic gearbox remanufacturer in the US, takes over ATSG,
the world number one in automatic transmission technical assistance and
training. ATSG President Wayne Colonna will retain his current position and
become the new Technical Director at ETE REMAN.
Recently, Allison Transmission has officially
confirmed that David S. Graziosi has taken up the post as the company’s CEO.
Prior to that appointment, he successfully worked as president and CFO since the
beginning of 2016.
Sonnax Industries Inc, a producer of gearbox
components, was acquired in early April of 2018 by Marmon Holdings, Inc, an
affiliated company of Warren Buffett’s enterprise, Berkshire Hathaway. Sonnax
was an employee-owned company, whose employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) was
taken to court by the US Department of Labor (DOL) for alleged violations in
the procedure of share sale.
Allison Transmission, one of the leading
producers of automatic commercial-duty gearboxes, promoted Otto Szalavari to
managing director of international marketing. It is assumed that this measure
will bring a fresh and more sophisticated approach in promotion of the company’s
products.
In late 2017 Schaeffler Group, a major supplier of automobile and industrial equipment, announced acquisition of the whole share package of Compact Dynamics from SEMIKRON. Schaeffler previously bought the controlling interest (51%) and now the bargain was related to the rest 49 % of shares.
BorgWarner completed the takeover of Sevcon
Company located in the UK. Having more than fifty years of proven record and
efficiently operating development centers, Sevcon received a reputation of a
welcomed partner for many companies interested in the fast-growing electrification
market.
