BorgWarner Inc. (BW) and Delphi Technologies
PLC have recently reached an agreement on a final transaction agreement under
which BW will take over Delphi Technologies (DT) in an all-stock transaction
that estimates assets of the latter at about $3.3 bln.
Recently, it
has been reported that Meritor, Inc. has taken over Transportation Power (more
commonly known as TransPower) by purchasing all of its outstanding common shares.
The details of this deal haven’t been unveiled.
Transtar
Industries, a major supplier of aftermarket transmission components, has
recently reported about the assets acquisition of Dean Transmission Parts. The
details of this deal, which entered into force earlier this month, have not
been unveiled so far.
Dean
will keep on working at its primary location under Transtar’s brand name.
Auto
giants Fiat Chrysler and France's PSA Group have finally confirmed one of the most
popular rumors of recent time and released the plan of a possible merger, which
may give birth to the world's fourth-largest automaker. The joint company will
be headquartered in the Netherlands.
ZF
has issued a total bond-secured loan of
€ 2.1
bln. According to ZF, one of the main objectives of this measure is to ensure
the gap financing of the scheduled takeover of Wabco, a leading manufacturer of
security and control solutions for CVs.
Punch Powertrain (PP), a major supplier of
powertrain and transmission solutions for the auto industry, has chosen Jorge
Solis, who previously who held senior positions at Wabco and Valeo, to a
position of its new CEO. The job position became vacant last spring when
long-term Punch CEO Cor van Otterloo passed away.
ZF
has recently announced the appointment of Dr. Martin Fischer, former Hella and
BorgWarner (BW) executive, as a new member of the ZF executive board. It is
planned that Mr. Fisher will join the board in early November and take the lead
in driver assist systems, electronics, active and passive safety, the North and
South America regions, and corporate quality.
Allison Transmission, a major provider of
commercial duty automatic gear shifting solutions, has recently announced the
acquisition of one of its long-term suppliers of aluminum transmission
castings, plus an affiliated tool and die maker, in a deal estimated at $103
mln.
Transtar Industries, one of the top suppliers
of aftermarket transmission components, has recently reported about the
takeover deal reached with SeaTac Parts Warehouse, a distributor of
transmission and driveline elements located in Kent, Washington. The company
will be merged with Transtar’s Kent facility.
Valvoline Inc. has reached an agreement on
purchasing of specific business assets of Minit Lube located in Alberta, Canada.
The deal is planned to be closed during the 4-th quarter of fiscal 2019. Financial
details of this transaction are still kept secret.
Dana Inc. has recently unveiled the takeover of
Nordresa Motors Inc., a well-known group of professionals specialized in
development, manufacturing and selling of e-powertrain solutions for commercial
vehicles (CVs). Details of the deal were kept confidential.

that Babcox Media Inc. acquired Transmission Digest, covering transmission
repair industry. For almost four decades,

development in the transmission repair industry.
