Sypris Technologies to Supply Parts for a New Sports Car Transmission
Sypris Technologies Inc., a producer and vendor
of drivetrains and related parts, has reported that it has received an order to
deliver specific elements, which will be used for production of a new sports
car transmission (presumably an 8-speed DCT transmission). It is said that the
manufacturing process will be launched at the end of this year for use in one
of the long-expected new sports cars. Conditions of the deal as well as the name
of the car brand were not unveiled.

The sophisticated 8-speed transmission has two clutches that ensure fast and smooth gear shifting with no interruptions in torque delivery. The impressively rapid shift time is ensured thanks to an integrated design approach that uses sophisticated and patented software technologies as well as other unique elements.
