Sonnax Changes Packaging Rules

Sonnax Changes Packaging Rules

Within the scope of the environment-oriented initiative, Sonnax will stop including printed guidelines/manuals with a wide range of products. Starting in spring 2019, approx. one thousand products will be sold without paper manuals.

This measure will chiefly affect products such as end-plugs, valve packs and bushings that come in small packing units. However, Sonnax won’t stop shipping manuals with larger units. Sonnax customers shouldn’t really worry about this measure, because all the necessary information about products will be posted on the Internet site of the company.

There are two main reasons why the company came up with this decision:

  • Waste reduction. Last year, the company printed more than one million pages for manuals. Now Sonnax wants to reduce waste, thereby saving a lot of trees.
  • Improvement of labor safety. This measure also should help to reduce the level of injuries among Sonnax workers involved in wrapping small products of the company. It is also known that manuals are frequently discarded unused.

To make sure that all customers have easy access to all product guides, Sonnax worked out a handy online finder:

1. Check out guidance notes at www.sonnax.com/in.

2. In the search field, you just have to enter the component code specified on the package.

If the manuals are available, a document will open or the file will be downloaded to your device. If no info about required product is found, it is necessary to check whether you entered the valid component code or visit the part page on the website for product info.
