Automotive industry is much wider than gearbox repairs and new transmission units launched on the market. It is wise to learn about new vehicles from various manufacturers recently introduced on the market, new technologies in modern cars - including Continuously Variable Transmissions, Direct-Shift Gearboxes - as well as automatic transmission fluid that would allow reduction of harmful emissions and many more things!



Fans of sports cars usually do not take electric vehicles (EV) seriously due to their usual lack of manual transmissions (in fact, EVs do not need this component at all), but Ford has come up with an interesting idea to change this attitude. The automaker has collaborated with Webasto on a Mustang Lithium project car that combines a powerful e-motor with a six-speed manual transmission from Getrag.

It is said that the 7-speed gear stick will be available on the 2020 Carrera S and Carrera 4S models. Porsche plans that the 1-st 2020 manual Porsche will reach the US customers next spring.
Recently unveiled results of test drives of a midibus that come with Allison’s xFE transmission hardware and FuelSense® 2.0 software have allowed to achieve improved fuel economy. The months-long field tests proved cost-effectiveness of using Allison’s upgrade package in midibuses.
