Orifice Restrictor Cup Plug (forward clutch)
A broken orifice restrictor cup plug in the forward clutch circuit, located below the forward clutch feed seal under the main control valve body, causes DTC P0751, harsh or no forward engagements, perceived slip on acceleration, and slipping/harsh 6-4 or 5-4 downshifts; requires case replacement.
!
Pressure Regulator Valve wear
Bore wear at the main pressure regulator valve causes erratic line pressure, poor shift quality, burnt clutches, low converter/lube flow, overheating, and TCC apply/release concerns.
?
Sluggish takeoff with harsh bump
Vehicle shows hesitation or sluggish acceleration from 0-8 km/h followed by a harsh bump, or a slip-on-takeoff feel followed by a bump, correctable with a valve body separator plate/checkball change and recalibration.
