Low Hub overrunning clutch failure
The one-way (overrunning) clutch on the Low Hub seizes from overload and age, which then damages the sun gear it rides on.

3rd clutch rear drum damage
High engine torque breaks the rear (3rd clutch) drum assembly, and the associated return spring can also fail, damaging the whole unit.

EPC line pressure solenoid failure
The electronic pressure control (line pressure) solenoid, which works under constant high stress, wears out from age and overheating.
