Common problems & symptoms

Problems and symptoms reported for this transmission, compiled from repair sources. Not a complete list.

!
Reverse lockout valve sticking
Wear and cross-leakage in the valve body partially strokes the reverse lockout and TCC-enable valves, restricting or losing reverse.
!
Filter-induced reverse stick
The filter can crack from contact with a valve, and fragments migrate to the reverse lock-out bore, causing the valve to stick and reverse to be lost at low pressure.
