This transmission is considered to be an option for passenger cars with transversely located engines with the capacity from 1.6 up to 2.0 liters. This transmission is applied on different models of VW, Skoda, Seat, Audi 80/90/100, Audi (A3 1997-2006). This transmission differs from the 01M only by lack of forced torque converter lock-up and by structure of the pan gasket, housing and pistons. This well-known transmission has been installed on cars since 1991.
